Former Minnesota Vikings coach Bud Grant is urging fans to join the push for a new stadium.
Grant has co-signed a message to Vikings ticket holders urging them to join our team and be part of the stadium solution.
The Hall of Fame coach is co-chair of Minnesota Momentum, a group formed to support the drive for a new Vikings stadium.
The message says with Minnesota facing financial challenges, the Vikings stadium project would deliver thousands of jobs when an economic boost is desperately needed.
It notes that only 30 home games are left until the Vikings' Metrodome lease expires in 2011.
Vikings owner Zygi Wilf has expressed optimism about securing public assistance for the stadium project in the 2009 legislative session.
