Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen is still unable to practice.
Allen joined his teammates at the end of Thursday's workout for stretching, but he has not participated at all this week since spraining his shoulder in Sunday's game against Houston. Allen said he was still sore.
Coach Brad Childress said he will see if Allen can do anything on the field on Friday. He has expressed concern that Allen's absence could stretch beyond this week.
Allen declined to speculate whether he was optimistic about suiting up this weekend against Green Bay. He said "there's always hope, but again it's not my call."
