Rookie QB Booty arrives in Minneapolis

The first opportunity to put on the purple and gold for recent draft picks and rookie free agents starts Friday at Winter Park as the Vikings open their annual rookie mini-camp.

Only four days after the NFL Draft concluded, some first-year players arrived in Minneapolis Friday afternoon ready to start playing professionally.

Among those landing Thursday afternoon was fifth-round pick and former Southern Cal quarterback, John David Booty.

Booty talked to KARE 11 Sports reporter Dave Schwartz at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport shortly after landing Thursday afternoon.
